BREEDING: OKC 1 131 is bred as a result of crossing two Bermudas selected from Imalayan and South Africa, both known for their cold and arid climate. By combining the genes of these two plants, OKC 1131 is formed, a genotype with very high cold tolerance and drought tolerance.

SALT TOLERANCE: OKC 1131 has a high tolerance to salt. In the salt tolerance test carried out among 11 varieties, OKC 1131 was the most resistant to salt.

APPEARANCE, TEXTURE: OKC 1131 has a dense and fine texture. Its color is dark green. When compared to other varieties, it goes dormant late and leaves it early.

WEAR TOLERANCE: OKC 1131 has the ability to regenerate itself very quickly after damage and wear due to heavy use.

NOMINAL MOWING: OKC 1 131 has shown that it is a very suitable variety for golf courses as a result of the tests carried out by reducing the mowing height to 3.50 mm between the dates of June 1st and August 30th, 2018.

OKC 1131 has a very high adaptability. According to the tests carried out in 19 different locations in the USA, it has an adaptability ratio of 78.5%.
